Mike Kuiack Mike Kuiack has 25 years of M&A, investment banking, management consulting and business development experience worldwide.
Since 1995, Kuiack has provided sell-side, buy-side and independent services on more than 100 M&A projects, including due diligence, structuring, financing, pricing/valuation, and business planning. Kuiack has been involved in M&A and public listing deals across the U.S. and Canada as well as Asia, Europe and Africa. Additional past international experience includes being the Associate Publisher of the Chinese-language business publication Showcase North America, being the Export Manager at a food trading company, and establishing and running his own management consulting business in Taipei, Taiwan. Prior to this, Kuiack was a Software Instructor at Lambton College of Applied Arts & Technology and a Production Inspector for Chrysler. Kuiack has been a frequent guest speaker on financings, M&A, and public listings. Kuiack earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science (major) and Economics (minor) from the University of Toronto (1989) and a Master of International Management degree in Business Administration from Schiller International University in Germany (1992). He completed the Corporate Restructuring, Mergers and Acquisitions executive education program at Harvard Business School (2007) and earned the Certified in Mergers & Acquisitions (CM&AA) designation of the Chicago-based Alliance of M&A Advisors from Loyola University of Chicago (2003). Kuiack completed the 6-course program of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, thus qualifying to write the exam for the Chartered Business Valuator designation. |
Alex BlodgettAlex Blodgett’s primary background is in providing investment banking and advisory services to middle-market companies. Blodgett’s experience in the capital markets has been augmented by experience operating a number of both public and private manufacturing, technology and service companies.
Blodgett was co-founder and President of VoodooVox Inc., formerly Call Genie Inc., a mobile advertising and analytics company, from 2003 through 2005. VoodooVox originally set out to voice-enable the yellow pages and was the first to develop mobile applications that allowed consumers to complete "what, where" inquiries for hyper-local businesses on mobile devices using IVR, SMS and web technologies. The company executed a series of agreements with large telecommunications companies and service providers including Telus, Rogers, AT&T, Verizon, Tata, Orange and Idearc. The company currently uses a proprietary database of over 250 million individuals in North America to deliver highly targeted advertisements to mobile users. VoodooVox completed an RTO with a Capital Pool Company and has raised in excess of $70mm. Goldman Sachs is VoodooVox’s largest institutional shareholder. For the period of 1994 through 1999, Blodgett was the president of two manufacturing businesses based in the United States that manufactured vitreous china sanitary ware and assembly components for robotic equipment. Blodgett has an extensive background in corporate finance in Canada, Europe, the U.S. and Asia. Blodgett was formerly a partner with Gordon Capital Corporation in Toronto and Vancouver, a Canadian investment and merchant banking company. In addition, Blodgett was the President of Gordon Capital's real estate research and consulting firm, which provided services to North American and Asian companies. Prior to his position with Gordon Capital, Blodgett was with Bankers Trust Company (acquired by Deutsche Bank) in New York, Dallas and Los Angeles, with an emphasis on large-scale project financing and management leveraged buyouts (during the time, Blodgett was a lead lender in conjunction with Bankers Trust Company to Kohlberg, Kravis Roberts & Co). |
